Meet JD & K Films
We're JD and K — a husband and wife team based near Sacramento, California, and we've been telling love stories on film for over a decade.
What started as a shared obsession with cinema grew into something we never expected: a front-row seat to the most important day in people's lives, over and over again. We've filmed first looks in Napa vineyards at golden hour. We've stood in Sonoma wine country as couples exchanged vows surrounded by everyone they love. We've captured ceremonies at the edge of Lake Tahoe as the sun broke through the pines, and elegant celebrations across the Bay Area. Ten years in, it still gets us every time.
Our work has been featured in Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Carats & Cake, Style Me Pretty, and Western Wedding Magazine. In 2022, we were recognized as one of the top three wedding videographers in Northern California.
While we're based near Sacramento, our hearts (and most of our weddings) live in the Napa Valley, Sonoma, Lake Tahoe, and the Bay Area. If you're celebrating anywhere in Northern California, we'd love to hear from you.

Our Approach
Our approach is simple: we disappear into the background so you can be fully present, then reappear with a film that shows you what your day actually looked and felt like — not a posed highlight reel, but the real thing.
We shoot every wedding with 4+ cameras, so we never miss a moment. We're quiet on the dance floor and invisible during the ceremony. We brief your photographer before the day so our coverage is seamlessly coordinated. And we deliver a
cinematic feature film — not a 3-minute recap — that does justice to a day you spent years planning.
